ABOUT THIS COURSE
The purpose (aim) of the Bachelor of Commerce in Digital Retail Entrepreneurship is to equip students with a comprehensive
understanding of the digital retail environment and the entrepreneurial skills necessary to navigate and manage businesses
in the fast-evolving digital economy in Ghana.
This qualification
aims to produce graduates who can:
• Identify and capitalise on digital retail opportunities, with the creativity and strategic thinking required to launch and
manage innovative digital businesses.
• Utilise digital platforms, tools, and technologies essential for managing digital retail operations with a high level of
competence.
• Ensure compliance and ethical business conduct in the digital retail sector, with an understanding of the legal, ethical, and
regulatory frameworks relevant to e-commerce and digital retail in Ghana.
• Assess and develop innovative solutions to business challenges in the digital retail sector, ensuring the sustainability and
competitiveness of digital retail ventures.
• Create and propose effective digital marketing strategies to engage and retain customers, ensuring a strong customer
relationship through personalised, data-driven approaches.
• Adapt to emerging digital trends, in order to remain competitive in the evolving digital retail sector.
• Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges in the digital retail sector in
Ghana and beyond.
• Navigate both global and local market dynamics, applying their knowledge of cultural, technological, and consumer
trends to operate successfully in diverse and competitive markets.
